1. Project objectives (no more than 10 lines)

1) Observing gravito-inertial (choosing N=4Ω=2f) and inertial (N=0) wave attractors plus mean-flow in axisymmetric basin, forced by modulating the tank’s rotation speed, Ω.

2) Observing the non-axisymmetric response in the stratified experiment when a radial barrier is imposed.

2. Main achievements and difficulties encountered (no more than 20 lines)

Observation of remarkably strong mixing in axi-symmetric experiments.

Observation of unexpected symmetry breaking response in non-axisymmetric experiments

Observation of different sedimentation patterns under inertial wave forcing conditions

Difficulties pertain to the elaborate nature of working up Particle Image Velocimetry data.
