CIVX

This package contains programmes for Particle Imaging Velocimetry using direct image correlations with hierarchical algorithms, taking into acount the local deformation of fluid elements. The source code is written in Fortran, and executable binary files are provided for Windows and Linux systems.

Binaries for Windows systems: Download the following archive

Download civ_bin: (.rar, 776 k0)--(.zip, 877 k0)

It contains the needed executable programmes:

civ1.exe: simple PIV programme
civ2.exe: advanced (hierarchical) PIV programme
fix_flag.exe: programme for removing false vectors
patch.exe: programme for interpolation-smoothing using thin shell splines

To use these programmes with a graphic user interface, download also UVMAT

Documentation for using this software is provided with the Matlab user interface UVMAT. The algorithms and performance tests are described in Fincham and Delerce (2000), Exp. Fluids 29, S13-S22.
